Arteezy Identifies The Two Top Threats For Shopify Rebellion in the Berlin Major 2023

The Berlin Major 2023 group stages are coming to a close on April 30th, with Shopify Rebellion and OG having impressive performances and securing Top 4 finishes, which means they will be in the upper bracket of the playoffs. This is particularly impressive for OG, who is playing with two stand-ins but still managed to secure a Top 2 finish. Shopify Rebellion’s run is impressive as well, given that they have not had much time to play with their mid-laner, Abed “Abed” Yusop in the new patch. In a pre-game interview before their match against OG, Artour “Arteezy” Babaev gave his thoughts on their tournament run so far and facing OG.

Tundra and OG are the scariest teams for Shopify Rebellion

The carry player for Shopify Rebellion then went on to talk about the scariest teams at the tournament, mentioning Tundra and OG. “I would say we’ve probably played the scariest team. I think Tundra is the scariest team. The second hardest would probably be OG. I know OG is on fire right now. Looks like MinD_ContRoL is owning, so I’m happy for him cause he’s not been doing so well these days. I’m excited to play against MinD_ContRoL, it’s been a while,” he added.

MinD_ContRoL replies to Arteezy’s comments

Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov, the stand-in for OG, also commented before their game against Shopify Rebellion, talking about how Arteezy wants to beat him up in the game. “We’re gonna play Shopify Rebellion later and I know Arteezy wants to beat me up but I won’t let that happen. I will stand up and fight him. Let’s see what happens later,” he said.

Arteezy also stated that their run in the group stages has been average and they don’t know exactly what to expect on the new patch. “I would say our results in the group stage are going average. I would say we dont know what exactly what to expect since we’ve only played few games on this patch as a team and we had about one day to scrim with Abed. We’re learning every game we play. It’s very similar to Dreamleague to some extent where we’re just entering every game and trying to figure out what is the best way to proceed against a team. We’ll lose a game, we’ll win a game. The goal is definitely to just get past to the Top 4,” he said.

Both Shopify Rebellion and OG have managed to secure the upper bracket slots in the playoffs, with OG not losing a single series in the group stages and Shopify Rebellion losing just one series against Tundra. OG does not have any more group-stage games left, but Shopify Rebellion has one last series against Xtreme Gaming, which will not affect their standings in the group stages. The playoffs of the Berlin Major will start from May 1st till May 7th, and fans will be excited to watch how both teams perform moving forward.
